General overview and collaborations in India

Since 2016 the ENS de Lyon has developed a strong relationship with Indian Higher Education Institutions.

Thus, ENS de Lyon has engaged in a certain number of agreements with these institutions in order to develop staff, PhD and student mobility, while promoting new academic models of collaboration and fostering research relationships.

Nowadays ENS de Lyon is involved in two different kinds of agreements with Indian Higher Education Institutions:

  • Bilateral agreements: (see list below)
  • Multilateral agreement: The ENS-IISER network was created in 2018 when a multilateral agreement was signed between the 7 Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) and the 4 ENS in France.  The aim of this network is to foster the development of joint research and academic programmes, as well as enhance, widen and intensify existing cooperation between the two networks.
