The NEED (New Epistemological Challenges in Language Education) junior lab aims to develop a common epistemological framework for (re)constructing the field of language education through a critical and transdisciplinary approach.

Thus, we are committed to finding answers to the major contemporary issues that are transforming our fields of study and our ways of teaching and conducting research, with a particular focus on inequality, the climate crisis, artificial intelligence, and mental health.

Our approach is based on collaborative research involving all interested and affected individuals. We plan to hold seminars open to everyone, featuring methodological workshops and discussion sessions.
