The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program was established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to enroll in their masters and PhD programs.
It provides future international decision-makers, in both the private and public sectors, with the opportunity to be educated in French higher-education institutions, in specific disciplinary areas of study.
Conditions: Applicants must be non-French citizens. Master's applicants must not have already studied in France and must be up to 27 years old (born after March 31st, 1997). PhD applicants must be up to 32 years old (born after March 31st, 1992).
For PhD students, in case of joint PhD or co-supervision, the agreement must be already approved between ENS de Lyon and the partner University at the time of application.
2025 Campaign Timeline

The application must be submitted by November 22d, 2024
- Applications will be selected by an ENS de Lyon committee in December 2024. Results will be communicated directly to Campus France
- Campus France will publish results in April 2025
Please note : this process applies exclusively to the Eiffel Grant. The application to the Master’s degree is separate.
