In this new academic year, 55 foreign students from about ten countries were admitted to ENS de Lyon. If a third party already speaks French, this is not the case for the remaining two thirds.
The Office of International Affairs of ENS de Lyon is pleased to invite non-French-speaking students to a week-long internship - from 24 to 31 August 2019 - in French as a foreign language (FLE) "Discovery and Integration".
In small groups, students learn the basics of the French language through written and, above all, oral exercises. It is important that newcomers can have the minimum vocabulary necessary to greet, buy bread or ask for information.
At the end of the courses, several tours of the city of Lyon are also offered to students: The Old Lyon, Musée des confluences and Croix Rousse.
Students will be able to continue learning the language throughout the year. An oral and written evaluation test will be held on September 11 and 12 to determine their level and direct them to the corresponding study group.
