Inaugural exhibition: In all obscenity

After undergoing several weeks of work, the new Artemisia Gallery of ENS de Lyon opened its doors with the exhibition “in all obscenity” presented within the framework of the 6th Master Class "a curator’s initiation to contemporary art" organized in partnership with the Institute of Contemporary Art Villeurbanne/Rhône-Alpes.
This new exhibition area is named after Artemisia Gentileschi, a 17th century Italian artist, that left her mark in history not only for her immense talent as a painter, but also for her role as a figure at the beginning of the movement for women’s emancipation.
This gallery of 50m2, open to the public and arranged according to standards allowing the exhibition of works from public collections (lighting, security, etc.) will propose artistic and cultural programs in connection with the activities of ENS. Upcoming events for the new academic year will be announced in the next few weeks.
