Since antiquity, the issues of otherness, marginality and social categorizations have been studied but in recent years these issues have taken a significant place in the news. But is there a unanimously accepted definition of otherness? Is it really possible for young researchers, from disciplines as different as ours, to exchange ideas about these issues?
