Audrey Bienfait, CNRS researcher at LPENSL - Physics Laboratory, is one of the recipients of the prestigious ERC Starting Grant.
The European Research Council (ERC) has just communicated the list of Starting Grant recipients. The ERC Starting Grant 2021 was open to young researchers who have completed their thesis 2 to 7 years before January 1st, 2021. The objective is to fund exploratory research projects with a maximum duration of 5 years and grants of 1.5 million euros.
The ERC has communicated on January 10, 2022 the list of recipients. France ranks 2nd out of 22 European Union countries and associates, with 53 winners for projects in physics-engineering, life sciences and humanities and social sciences. Among the two Lyon-based winners, one comes from a laboratory affiliated with the ENS de Lyon:
