An Indo-French plant biology workshop co-organized by French Ecoles Normales Supérieures and Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (ENS-IISER network)

Human appropriation of plant-derived biomass is one the main stressor of planetary boundaries and at the heart of the current climate crisis. Understanding the basis of biomass production by plants is thus critical and yet, has been largely neglected as essential to find mitigation strategies to fight climate change. This meeting will bring together plant biologists from the ENS in France and IISERs in India to contribute to the emergence of plant-based solution to the climate change crisis.

The workshop is sponsored by IFCPAR/CEFIPRA (Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research)  and is part of the Franco-Indian campus in life and health sciences BIOSANTEXC, whose 2024 workshop is taking place just upstream, on May 28 and 29.
