May 17 is the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. All year round, ENS de Lyon and its Equality Mission take action to prevent and deal with situations of violence, and promote inclusion. On this occasion, here's a reminder of the main existing process at ENS de Lyon.
ENS de Lyon is convinced that preventing manifestations of homophobia and transphobia is a necessity to ensure a serene climate for everyone.
Reporting process
The ENS de Lyon procedure enables you to report all types of incidents that could be construed as discrimination, harassment or violence of a sexist, sexual or LGBTQI+phobic nature. Two forms (in French and in English) and an e-mail address are available for reporting.
e-mail: signalement.violences.discriminations [at] ens-lyon.fr (signalement[dot]violences[dot]discriminations[at]ens-lyon[dot]fr)
or: Reporting form
or: Reporting form in French

Transidentity: recognition of customary first name
ENS de Lyon is also committed to facilitating the use of prefered first names (rather than given names) on internal documents within the School for transgender people.
In this context, if you wish to make a change of first name (with or without a certificate from a town hall or high court), send an email to:
- referentes.egalite [at] ens-lyon.fr
- and mission.egalite [at] ens-lyon.fr
Awareness campaigns
Poster campaigns are regularly organized throughout the school, with different visuals in French and in English, highlighting several areas of sexual and gender-based violence, including homophobic or LGBTQI+phobic violence.
Students and staff of ENS de Lyon may use, if they wish, these visuals in their student living and work places.
