Director of the IT department of ENS de Lyon, Alain Tchana has been rewarded as part of the 10th edition of the “Prix de la Francophonie*” for Young Researchers awarded by the AUF.

Recruited in 2019 at Ens de Lyon, Alain Tchana, from Cameroon, is Director of the Computer Science Department and a member of the Computer Science Laboratory for Parallelism (LIP). He is responsible for a research group of about five PhD students. He also holds the position of co-head of the LIP parity committee and is a member of the CNRS national committee, section 6.
Alain Tchana holds a PhD in computer science on the design of orchestrators for the cloud, and he is interested in the optimization of software test campaigns. In 2013, he became a lecturer at the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse and directed his research towards the field of operating systems and hypervisors. After defending his Habilitation to Supervise Research in 2017, he was recruited as University Professor at the University of Nice, before joining the ENS de Lyon. Alain Tchana is also a visiting professor in the Computer Engineering Department of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique de Yaoundé where he teaches Cloud and Virtualization. Alain Tchana's work has been the subject of more than sixty research articles published in prestigious international conferences and journals with a review committee.
