The 2016 Raymond and Beverly Sackler Prize in the Physical Sciences for Chemistry will be awarded, through Tel Aviv University, to three excellent researchers :
- Guido Pintacuda (ENS de Lyon)
- John Morton (University College London)
- Charalampos Babis Kalodimos (University of Minnesota).
The prize will be awarded to the three recipients in person during a mini-conference that will be held in honor of the laureates, on February 28th, 2017.
Guido Pintacuda
Guido Pintacuda, Research Director at the Institut des Sciences Analytiques (ENS de Lyon/Université Claude Bernard/CNRS), is recognized for his elegant methodological advances in solid state NMR spectroscopy, including advances in proton detection, and for insightful applications to challenging biological systems.
The Raymond and Beverly Sackler International Prize in the Physical Sciences
This Prize was established through the generosity of Dr. Raymond and Mrs. Beverly Sackler. It is awarded alternatively in the fields of Chemistry and Physics, and is intended to encourage dedication to science, originality and excellence by rewarding outstanding young scientists, under 45 years of age.
This year an amount of $100,000 will be presented in the field of Chemistry, in the subject of Magnetic Resonance.
