Bastien Marguet, alumni of ENS de Lyon and PhD student at the Institut Lumière Matière (CNRS, UCBL), has won a place in the Final of the 2022 edition of the My Thesis in 180 Seconds (MT180) competition.
On April 8 and 9, 58 candidates presented their research topic in 180 seconds to win a place in the final. Among them were two Université de Lyon representatives: Arthur Guerin-Turcq, PhD student at the Environment City Society Laboratory (EVS) and Bastien Marguet, 2019 class of the Master in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics and currently PhD student at the Institut Lumière Matière (CNRS, UCBL).
Congratulations to both candidates for their performances and special congratulations to Bastien Marguet, who won a place in the final.
Co-organized by the University of Lyon, the final will be held on May 31 at the Bourse du Travail in Lyon. Among the 16 finalists, Bastien Marguet will present his thesis project "Modeling of the formation of grain boundaries in two-dimensional materials: application to graphene".
