At the very end of a high-level final, the team of physics students from ENS Lyon finished second in the International Physicists' Tournament 2019, which was held from April 21 to 26 at EPFL in Switzerland.

After winning the French Physicists' Tournament 2019 in February, the team from ENS de Lyon is now competing in the International Physicists' Tournament 2019 at the EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) in Lausanne (Switzerland). Good luck to them!

Lucile Savary's Prize Lecture and Award Ceremony will be held in during the 27th International Conference on Statistical Physics – StatPhys 27 – from July 8 to July 12, 2019 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The selection committee met on January 17, 2019 and announced the eight winning projects from the Tech4Inclusion call for proposals. Two of them are carried by ENS de Lyon.

Recipient of the Jaffe Prize last June, Sergio Ciliberto is now receiving the EPS Prize for his research work as a whole.

Alex Andrix had already collaborated in October 2018 with the Physics laboratory on a work entitled "Variations physiques" (Physical Variations).

The "ENS de Lyon/UCBL/UDL" team came top, with a final score of 161.84 points. In April, the team will therefore represent France in Switzerland.

The start-up was matured with the support of the Physics laboratory and more particularly Amine Metahni, CNRS Research engineer.

The LIA "Matter: structure and dynamics" reinforces an already long-standing collaboration in physics between French and Chilean research teams.

At the 69th Annual Meeting of the Max Planck Society in Heidelberg, Professor Alain Pumir from the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) was appointed as an external scientific member of the Göttingen Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization (MPIDS). With this award, MPIDS acknowledges the long-term intensive cooperation between the internationally renowned physicist and the departments of the institute.
