Jacques-Louis Lions prize winner
Denis Serre, professor at the École normale supérieure de Lyon and head of the PDE and Modelling team at the UMPA (Unit of Pure and Applied Mathematics), has won the Jacques-Louis Lions prize, awarded by the Académie des Sciences.
This major prize in applied mathematics is given to a scientist for work of very high value in the areas in which Jacques-Louis Lions specified: partial differential equations, control theory, digital analysis, scientific calculations and their application.
The Académie des Sciences award ceremony will be held on November 21, 2017.
