A themed breakfast event was held in the salons of Lyon’s City Hall on July 4th a part of the COLT 2025 conference held in partnership with AILyS, a center of excellence in artificial intelligence at the Lyon-Saint-Étienne university site, which includes ENS de Lyon. Here’s a look back at this gathering, which brought together specialists from around the world and highlighted the region's and Lyon-Saint-Étienne’s vibrancy in innovation and research in artificial intelligence.

Lyon, 8 July 2025 - ENS de Lyon, the CNRS, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, ITEN and the French National Research Agency (ANR) have announced the launch of the AMIE LabCom (Analysis of Materials and Interfaces for Energy). This strategic partnership, supported by the ANR with €363,000 in funding, brings together academic research and industrial innovation to push the boundaries of ITEN all-solid-state battery performance, sustainability, and eco-responsibility.

The list of winners of the CNRS 2025 medals was unveiled on June 16, 2025. Three members of ENS de Lyon are among them! They are Gwyneth Ingram, CNRS researcher and director of the Plant Reproduction and Development laboratory (silver medal); Benjamin Wesolowski, CNRS research fellow at the Center for Pure and Applied Mathematics (bronze medal); and Stéphanie Durand, CNRS researcher and seismologist at the LGL-TPE (bronze medal). Alumni of ENS de Lyon are also among the distinguished scientists.
